My friends at Life & Style PR (a division of Panorama Public Relations) asked me to help them make Belk’s 2013 Fall Fashion media kit pop online. The fashions have more than enough pop and sizzle, so the strategy was to make them the focus.
The online media kit was built on WordPress using a masonry-type theme with large visual presentations organized by style statement. We also wanted the media to be able to download images for use online or in print. In addition, the site allows sharing and commenting on the photos.

Mossbridge Capital Partners asked for help with their domain management and web presence. This site was created on a WordPress platform so that someone on their staff could edit and post content easily. The purpose of the site is to communicate their business goals & services and reach potential customers.
As a growing physical therapy and rehabilitation practice, HealthWorx needed a web presence to help patients find their offices, deliver patient documents, and communicate their message to an online audience. After meeting with them, the skeleton of a site came together rather quickly. Working from their existing logo, the site design was created and filled out with content they created and photography taken onsite. My role was web designer/developer, photographer, SE optimizer, and content coach.
The Linly Heflin Unit was founded in 1919 as a women’s service organization. Since 1923 the major focus of the group has been to further the education of young women in Alabama. To date, over 3,000 four-year scholarships have been awarded to Alabama girls attending Alabama colleges and universities.
The organization needed an updated website with the ability to easily edit the content, accept donations, and have a members only area for some content. WordPress provided a platform that would transform their web presence into a modern and user friendly web site. Features of this improvement included a pictorial membership directory, donations via Paypal, contact form, a homepage slider, and more pictures throughout the site. The site used a branded color palette and was SEO optimized.
Panorama Public Relations is a firm specializing in crisis management, issues management and public relations. Their clientele are from wide ranging industries—they have worked with firefighter Red Adair and Sex in the City’s Kristen Davis. Panorama also has a lifestyle division that specializes in marketing and promoting the products and services of companies that want to reach style-conscious consumers.
I was pleased to have helped them with this micro website and with maintenance and upgrades to their lifestyle group web site. This single page HTML/Javascript/CSS web site was intended to be visually compelling and highly connected to social media and geographic location. I look forward to an ongoing relationship with the creative folks at Panorama.
This micro-site was replaced in 2017 with a new redesigned, re-branded fully functional website.
BrittWHanson.com is a web site designed to showcase three e-books written by a lawyer and lay-scientist. The three books cover subjects from the development of altruism in human societies, directed creativity, and the genetic function of sexual reproduction in organisms. Britt says, “these books present theories of human nature, creativity, free will, and goal-directed causation.”
For this project, I created two book covers (books 2 & 3) for use on the web site and in digital publications and created the web site to help market the books.

Handmade jewelry made by Flatterdiddles is featured on their new Facebook page. I helped the artist format, process, and load the product pictures and create descriptions. The page was a hit almost immediately. It garnered over 70 likes in the first few hours after launch.
A Little Something Gift Boutique is a new shop opened in Cahaba Heights, Alabama. The owner approached me for help with a web site and e-marketing. The site at launch contained contact and location information, some product images/information, a slideshow of store interiors, lead generation via an email list, and Facebook integration. We have plans to expand into light e-commerce in the future. I also helped her get placed in Google, Yahoo, and Bing search and with her Facebook page and a video.
This business has closed and the webpage/domain retired.
