Workhorse Service

WorkhorseService.comWorkhorseService.com is a new site constructed after the owner had been hacked. The former site had been built on WordPress but it was not secured and maintained so hackers exploited vulnerabilities and the owner was wary of the platform. After explaining the problems with the former installation, I built a new, optimized site that has a catalog of parts (that can be ecommerce enabled, if desired). I also helped him with his domains and email on a Linux server. A responsive design, a blog, and geo-location information add to site findability and credibility. I helped them with the G+ social profile as well.

The new site has resulted in numerous contacts from web searches and an increased ability for customers to find his physical location.

The Retreat at Mountain Brook

RetreatatMountainBrookRetreatatMountainBrook.net was designed on a WordPress platform with integrated forms hosted on a real estate management portal for resident and prospect generation. The site had to be responsive and beautifully showcase the luxury apartments and amenities of The Retreat at Mountain Brook.

This project required SEO, image optimization, and several social media channel setups. I also have helped with various promotions requiring Facebook tabs and specialized coding.

The folks at Panorama Life & Style PR and Arlington Properties were great and I look forward to further developments with this ongoing project.

The Gentlemen Nerds

The Gentlemen NerdsWho are the Gentlemen Nerds? Well, they’re four guys who know each other from various media endeavors, getting together to talk about geeky and nerdy things, mostly in the vein of entertainment…and they’re gentlemen about it.

The Gents are producing a sort of weekly podcast and asked me to help them with a web site that would showcase their work and publish it to the web, iTunes, and anybody interested in subscribing via RSS. It was really fun to set this up for them and we hope it grows like The Blob.

American Wholesale Distributors

American Wholesale DistributorsAmerican Wholesale Distributors is a wholesale provider of products to convenience stores, ball parks, restaurants, pharmacies and gift shops in the Birmingham, Alabama area.

They had no website but had a domain name and wanted to create a site to showcase new products and deals to current and potential customers. The branding was supplied by Signature Media and the site developed on a WordPress platform. The project required a bit of photography, web design, and domain/email management. I also helped them with social channels and the top 20 directory listings in Google search results.

Turning Point Foundation

Turning PointTurning Point (TP) is a non-profit, Christ-centered drug and alcohol recovery center for men located in Thorsby, AL. TP had a website built in Joomla that they found inflexible and difficult to update. After visiting the center and meeting with the staff, the new site was moved to a new domain name on a different host with a WordPress CMS.

The project involved photography, information architecture, SEO, design and domain management skills. TP staff was trained to do basic editing tasks before launch. Branding was created by Ad Spark.

Hungate Cases

Hungate CasesHungate Cases needed a website to demonstrate their new E Series guitar case. The site was built on a responsive platform and launched with the early goals of lead generation and product demonstration.

A 360° product spinner, created from CAD drawings, was a major feature on the homepage. Pictures do speak volumes and the user interactivity supplied by the spinner is a plus. Of course, it helps to have a beautifully designed product to work with.

A fantastic video was produced by Voltaic Video to showcase the use of the E Series case. The modular design approach taken in site development facilitated adding the video served from a third party.

A product feedback survey was created with easy QR code access to facilitate marketing at SXSW 2015 Music Festival. Hungate Cases showed the prototype case at the gear show and around various venues for feedback. I also helped them create promotional items for the show.

As the product gets closer to launch and the company grows, this site can meet those needs and help Hungate Cases market their new and innovative product.

I also helped them with their social profiles including Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube and Google+ .
